Carnell Tate is among multiple prospects linked to the New York Giants.

As they continue to make additions through free agency, the New York Giants have another major decision looming. That being what they are going to do with the fifth overall selection in this year’s NFL Draft.

The Giants have built up an impressive core of young talent over the last few years, and now have a chance to add another dynamic young talent to the mix. A little over a month away from when they’ll be on the clock, many have tossed out various different roads they can go down.

In the midst of a chaotic start to free agency, numerous outlets continue to update their mock drafts. When it comes to the Giants at No. 5, talents on both sides of the ball have been linked to them.

Giants’ latest mock draft results:

While giving his thoughts on the selection in a livestream for BR, Trevor Sikkema stated that a receiver duo of Tate and Malik Nabers would greatly complement Jaxson Dart.

“This is the passing weapon that they need to add,” Sikkema said of Tate. “Him and Malik Nabers next to each other, that’s the type of dynamic duo that Jaxson Dart’s play style leans into the most.”

NFL Analyst Thinks Giants Could Target Running Back With Their First-Round Pick

New names continue to get thrown into play for the Giants with the fifth overall selection in the draft. After missing out on a big name in free agency, one analyst thinks New York might use the pick to add another skill position player.

During the March 12th episode of her “Up & Adams” show, Kay Adams praised the Giants for the work they’ve done since free agency got underway. She cited their notable missed opportunity, Kenneth Walker signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, she thinks this could result in them pursuing a running back in the draft.

“Shall I hypothesize,” Adams said. “Jeremiyah Love. Where they picking? Five? Yeah. Is that too high? I’m going to say Jeremiyah Love very much in play for them.”

WHAT a free agent haul for the Giants‼️

Next up: Jeremiyah Love at No. 5 overall?

@heykayadams

Love is coming off a dominant junior season at Notre Dame, rushing for over 1,300 yards and 18 touchdowns. Getting selected at No. 5 wouldn’t be much of a reach, as Love is projected to come off the board at the latter half of the top ten.

Radio Host Confident Giants Will Target Jeremiyah Love in NFL Draft

Adams is not the only one speculating that the Giants will pursue the Fighting Irish’s dynamic backfield threat. While on WFAN Sports Radio on March 10th, radio host Evan Roberts also predicted he will end up being the pick for New York.

“At number five, you’re going to take a running back,” Roberts said of the Giants. “What they’re gonna do is take the best available player.”
