The Steelers have made another splash late into free agency, agreeing to terms with former Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Brisker, who turns 27 this season, started all 17 games in 2025 for the Bears, logging 93 total tackles, one tackle for loss, eight pass deflections, and one interception. The 6’1, 204-pound safety played college football at Penn State. He was drafted by Chicago in the second round in 2022. Brisker ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
Brisker is the second safety the Steelers have signed during free agency. Pittsburgh added former Bills safety Darnell Savage Jr. on Wednesday.
On the Steelers, Brisker will be reuniting with his former college teammate Joey Porter Jr. Both were part of the Nittany Lions’ secondary from 2019-21.
