All-Pro joins Baker Mayfield, NFL world stunned

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have seen-sawed between being one of the NFL’s most impressive-looking teams and one of its most dysfunctional since legendary quarterback Tom Brady retired.

Now, Baker Mayfield is at the helm. Although Mayfield has looked elite at times throughout his tenure in Tampa, he hasn’t been able to produce at a high level at a consistent rate, which resulted in the Bucs missing the playoffs last season.

Unfortunately for Mayfield and Tampa Bay, his most trusted target, franchise legend Mike Evans, departed the franchise in free agency, signing with the San Francisco 49ers.

Although it’ll be hard to make up for Evans’s lost production, Mayfield will be joined by another All-Pro on the Bucs’ roster, according to one of the league’s most prominent insiders.

“All-Pro special teamer Miles Killebrew is signing with the Bucs on a one-year deal at around $1.8M, per source. Reuniting with special teams coordinator Danny Smith from their Pittsburgh days,” ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the signing on social media.

“Coming off a knee injury, but provides the leadership and experience the ST unit needs after last year’s disaster,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Turns 33 in May and [coming off of a season-ending knee injury](https://thecomeback.com/nfl/steelers-miles-killebrew-missing-time-fans-react.html). Wish him the best but we know how the business of football works,” another fan added.

“Gutted,” one Steelers fan put bluntly.

It’ll be interestting to see how Killebrew looks coming off such a brutal injury.
