Steve Kerr addresses potential season shutdown of Stephen Curry for Warriors

Per Warriors coach, there hasn't been any conversations yet about Curry missing the remainder of the season.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters Thursday that Stephen Curry is trending in the right direction in the wake of his extended absence.

As such, Kerr clarified that Curry hasn’t participated in the Warriors’ team practices yet, as the superstar guard continues to be limited to individual workouts.

"I mean, the biggest thing is, is he trending in the right direction? The answer is yes," he told reporters.

"So talking to Rick [Celebrini] today, he was encouraged with today's work, and we just have to continue the build-up at a measured pace, because we don't want any setbacks.”

As it was announced last Wednesday, Curry will be sidelined for 10 more days due to his current "runner's knee" condition. He has only just started his on-court work and aims to gradually increase the intensity.

The Warriors' superstar hasn't played since late January.

With Curry out, the Dubs have been significantly restricted in competing. They are currently stuck in the Play-In spot of the Western Conference and have lost 10 of their last 15 games since the future Hall of Famer went down.

Golden State is sitting at the ninth spot of the West with a 32-33 record. And while some might be wondering that the Dubs would let this season slip away, Kerr made it clear that ruling out Curry for the remainder of the season isn't on the table.

“No, that hasn’t been a conversation,” Kerr simply said.
