Kyler Murray has perfect response to becoming Vikings QB

The Minnesota Vikings have a new quarterback in their ranks after signing Kyler Murray.

The move now puts serious pressure on J.J. McCarthy to essentially shape up or ship out, with Murray expected to have the inside track to the starting job.

Of course, we know how these things go, and nothing in the NFL is ever straightforward, just ask the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens.

Murray gets a fresh start after a handful of years with the Arizona Cardinals, and to see he's amped up for the opportunity in Minnesota is an understatement.

"I'm super excited, and I can't wait to touch the field as a Minnesota Viking," Murray said. "It's a great day for me and my family. I cannot wait to touch that field and be a Minnesota Viking."

Murray ready to rock for Vikings

Kyler is excited to get started with his new team, and the chance to become a starter under Kevin O'Connell is one he is relishing.

Of course, it won't be straightforward that Murray will walk into the QB1 role, as McCarthy won't give it up without a serious fight.

But now the Vikings have become must-watch this offseason as their quarterback room is now the main storyline.

If Murray beats out McCarthy, that's a huge headline and a shift for the franchise.

If McCarthy beats out Murray, then it's as you were for the Vikings at quarterback.
