Kleber (back) will continue to miss time and has no timetable of return.
Maxi Kleber will miss significant time for the Los Angeles Lakers due to his back issues, head coach JJ Redick told reporters ahead of the team's Thursday clash against the Chicago Bulls.
Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule
Redick noted that the veteran big man is expected to be “out for a little bit.”
Kleber didn't play in the Lakers' previous win over the Minnesota Timberwolves last Tuesday and was already ruled out against the Bulls.
Dealing with a lumbar issue in his back, it seems that Kleber could miss weeks for the Lakers. This would be a significant one for LA's frontcourt, but Deandre Ayton, Jaxson Hayes and Drew Timme can only take a step-up.
The German center only played 35 games this season. He is averaging 2.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.9 minutes.
