The Washington Commanders had over 30 pending free agents, and not many of them of them have been signed by other teams. The Philadelphia Eagles have been quiet in free agency, but they signed their second cornerback today, former Commanders veteran Jonathan Jones. He only spent one season in Washington, suffering a hamstring injury that landed him on injured reserve after the Packers game on Week 2. He didn’t return to the girls until Week 7, and didnt start a game until Week 10.
Jones joins an Eagles secondary that has Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and the newly signed Riq Woolen ahead of him on the depth chart. The Commanders made two signings in the secondary, adding former Detroit Lions CB [Amik Robertson](/nfl-free-agency/404795/washington-commanders-free-agency-amik-robertson-signs-2-year-deal), and former Colts S Nick Cross. Robertson joins Mike Sainristil and Trey Amos at corner, and he is expected to play a lot of slot in new defensive coordinator Daronte Jones’ defense.
