Houston Texans Free Agent Signings

The Houston Texans have had a very solid free agency so far, signing several outside free agents, along with a few of their own.

Here is a look at who they have acquired off the market so far:

\-S Reed Blankenship (3-year, $25M)

\-OT Braden Smith (2-year, $25M)

\-RB David Montgomery (Trade)

\-DE Dominique Robinson (1-year, $4M)

\-OT Trent Brown (1-year, $7M)

\-S M.J. Stewart (1-year, $2.7M)

\-G Ed Ingram (3-year, $37.5M)

\-LB E.J. Speed (2-year, $13M)

The absolute biggest need Houston needs to address is their offensive line, and they are starting off on the right foot with re-signing Ed Ingram, who had a very good year in 2025, along with former Colts offensive tackle Braden Smith.

Those moves are great and all, but they need more work on their interior, and they should still be in the market for another guard and center. It remains to be seen as to how those additions will come, but they have options.

They are rumored to be in on former Cleveland Browns guard Wyatt Teller, and that would be a great addition. The rest can be worked out in the draft.

Most positions on the Texans are already filled out, but they need depth, and to develop potential starters for the future, so it would not be surprising for general manager Nick Caserio to throw some darts and get aggressive.
