Bam Adebayo rants about critics of historic 83-point game: 'You can't be mad at that'

The Heat star is puzzled about the criticisms he endured following his historic all-time performance.

Bam Adebayo isn't losing his mind about the doubters of his historic 83-point performance for the Miami Heat.

The star big man finally broke his silence after the recent criticisms and questioning regarding his all-time NBA game.

"For the couch coaches, if you're in my shoes, first of all, y'all are blaming me. You should be blaming the head coach. I was not the one letting me go one-on-one the whole game until I had 70 [points] … At that point, 70 with what? Nine minutes left to go in the game. You think I'm not going for it?" Adebayo said after the Heat's 112-105 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.

"And that's the thing that's crazy when they talk about the unethical part of basketball. I have 70 with nine minutes to go. Who would just be like, 'Coach, take me out.' Yeah, right. Anybody in my shoes with nine minutes left, I'm going for it. You can't be mad at that. If you are mad, I don't care. There's a lot of people upset because they never had a chance to get that close to chasing greatness. If you get that close to chasing greatness, that's the point of chasing so you can surpass it."
