Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid midfielder.

Real Madrid would be willing to sell Eduardo Camavinga in the summer transfer window, reports suggest.

The midfielder has been at Los Blancos since 2021. During that time, he has helped the Spanish giants win two Champions Leagues and two La Liga crowns, while he was part of France’s squad that finished runners-up at the 2022 World Cup.

But Camavinga’s influence at Madrid has somewhat dropped this campaign. While he has made 31 appearances in all competitions, the 23-year-old has not been a regular starter. In the 3-0 Champions League last 16 first-leg win over Manchester City earlier this week, Camavinga came off the bench for the final 20 minutes.

Real are well stocked in central midfield with Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde while 18-year-old Thiago Pitarch started ahead of Camavinga against City.

Therefore, the Santiago Bernabeu side could look to cash in at the end of the season. Liverpool have been linked with the former Rennes man on several occasions. Meanwhile, Arne Slot’s side could look to strengthen in the engine room, with Alexis Mac Allister recently admitting he is not in talks over a new contract. In addition, Curtis Jones and Wataru Endo’s respective deals expire in 2027.

According to Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto, speaking on Radio Marca, Camavinga is not ‘untouchable’ and Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation. Real would want at least £43 million to contemplate a sale, with Camavinga under contract until 2029.

Speaking after Camavinga’s arrival at Madrid, former boss Carlo Ancelotti said: After his start in the Spanish capital, Ancelotti said: "Yes it has surprised me a bit, that's the truth.

"We all know the quality he has, physical and technical. Then on the pitch he's shown his personality, we didn't know about that. What happens in games doesn't worry him, he's confident."
