Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes Chelsea will miss out on Champions League football, and has backed Liverpool to finish above the Blues.

The Blues are virtually out of this season’s competition after suffering a 5-2 defeat against PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
A top five finish is vital and Chelsea currently sit fifth, level on points with Liverpool, and three points behind Man United and Aston Villa in third and fourth respectively.
Roy Keane backs Chelsea to miss out on Champions League football
Chelsea reportedly told Liam Rosenior Champions League qualification is critical, but the Blues face a tough task to finish in the top five.
However, Chelsea still have to play both Liverpool and United, so it could be argued a top five finish is in their hands.
All fours teams in the race are equally as inconsistent as each other and will drop more points between now and the end of the season.
Missing out on the Champions League would be a huge failure considering the success of last season, but Keane thinks the Blues will ultimately miss out.
“I think Chelsea are going to miss out. Chelsea to miss out. Liverpool will do it,” he told Stick to Football.
Chelsea face huge Newcastle game on Saturday
The Blues host Newcastle at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening in a game they simply have to win if they want that top five finish.

Paul Merson has backed Chelsea to win, but the Blues have a poor record at home in the league this season, so it could be a difficult evening.
Rosenior has got to get a response out of the players after the PSG defeat, and the level of performance we see will be very telling.
