Liverpool boss Arne Slot says Alexander Isak is still not ready for a return to team training as the Swede continues his recovery from a broken leg.
"He is still with the rehab team; he is not with the team yet," Slot said on Isak. Federico Chiesa, meanwhile, could return to the matchday squad this weekend after sitting out the midweek trip to Galatasaray with a minor illness.
"I expect he feels better now as he felt unwell the day before the game," Slot outlined. "We are now three or four days further ahead. He should be able to train today."

After Liverpool lost against Galatasaray and English clubs endured a difficult week in the Champions League generally, Slot was also asked about why he felt the Premier League teams couldn't get the results that they wanted.
Arsenal and Newcastle drew but Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are all trailing. In the case of four of the six English teams, it would take a huge result in the second leg to overturn the deficit.
"To jump to a conclusion after one game day is such a small sample size," Slot said. "It is maybe not the smartest thing to do because maybe after next week it is a different conclusion.

"In general, it is not smart not to have a winter break. And in Europe now, you face top teams. So to jump to conclusions... the lack of a winter break, the Premier League not being as a high a level as we think, they are not the right conclusions to make.
"Let's judge after next week and then maybe it is still too early to say. If you are in Champions League last 16, all the teams are very good and strong.
"Four out of five away from home, and the margins were quite small from what I saw. The Arsenal margins were small and maybe it's weird but I didn't see a 3-0 coming for Man City v Real Madrid.
"PSG v Chelsea, I didn't see it, but people told me Chelsea were involved in that game. So jumping to conclusions after one game usually not what I wanted to do."

If Liverpool can beat Spurs at the weekend, it would be a big boost for its hopes of finishing inside the Champions League places. It would also be the club's 1500th home win.
"It only pushes me and us," Slot said on that record. "We hold ourselves to the highest standards and this is another example of how successful this club has been and still is.
"If we reach that mark I am not completely responsible because I wasn't there 1500 games! But it shows you are at a top club and we work every day to win something. We are in a lucky situation we are at a club where we can win something."
