The Dallas Cowboys defense just added a playmaker to the mix.
Cobie Durant is set to be the newest member of the Cowboys after hitting free agency from the Los Angeles Rams.
Durant will be signing a one-year deal with Dallas, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, who reported the news overnight Thursday into Friday.
With a name reminiscent of a couple of NBA legends, Durant does his best to make things difficult for opposing offenses.
He's originally from Lamar, South Carolina, and he attended college at the HBCU South Carolina State.
From there, Durant was a fourth-round pick by the Rams in the 2022 NFL Draft.

He has played in 61 games across four seasons with the Rams since being drafted.
His first year, he intercepted three passes in just 13 games.
Durant only intercepted one pass between 2023 and 2024, but he bounced back in 2025 by picking off three passes.
Two of his career seven INTs have been brought back to the end zone for touchdowns.
In 17 games in 2025, Durant also had seven passes defensed and 40 tackles.
The Cowboys have had a bunch of movement at the cornerback position over the last year, and they'll hope that Durant can provide a bit of stability and explosiveness to a key position on the field for them.
