Liverpool’s trip to face City is the first match back from the international break, and could precede a Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Neither the Reds nor City emerged from their last 16 first leg with an advantage, but the next round will be played in the midweek of April 7/8 – days after the FA Cup tie.

Slot’s side would be on the road again against either PSG or Chelsea in the quarter-final, with the former taking a 5-2 advantage to Stamford Bridge, if they progress.

The first Premier League match after the FA Cup tie is the visit of Fulham on April 11.

Pepijn Lijnders now works as Pep Guardiola’s assistant, but he will manage City on the touchline against his former club as his boss must serve a suspension.

Guardiola earned a two-match suspension after he was booked for the sixth time this season during his side’s 3-1 win over Newcastle in the FA Cup fifth round.

The ban skips the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal on March 22 as yellow-card suspensions do not apply to finals.

What an interesting sight it will make!
