The Chicago Bears have agreed to sign former Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Jedrick Wills to a one-year contract according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Wills was a former first round pick out of Alabama in the 2020 NFL Draft and played a key role in the Browns’ run to the postseason during his rookie season. Wills was a solid addition to Cleveland’s offensive line but injuries began to plague his career.

Of his five years in Cleveland, Wills has played just one full season and in 2024 on appeared in five total games for the franchise. Due to a knee injury, Wills sat out the entire 2025 season in hopes to make a full recovery and return to the field. He will now have that opportunity in Chicago which is looking to solidify the left side of its offensive line for quarterback Caleb Williams.
Prior to his professional career, Wills played three years at Alabama and was a part of the 2017 national championship team his freshman season where he also appeared in 11 games. He would go on to start the following two seasons where he would become one of the best offensive linemen in the SEC. In 2019 he was named to the All-American Second-team and First-team All-SEC before declaring for the NFL Draft.
