Broncos sit alone in exclusive free agency club no NFL team wants to be in

It's one thing to be conservative in free agency, but the [Denver Broncos](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/denver-broncos) are taking things to a completely different level.

Entering the fifth day of free agency, the Broncos have yet to sign an outside free agent and, according to [Mike Klis of 9News](https://x.com/mikeklis9news/status/2032431569684897802), they are the only team to own that distinction.

"It’s Day 5 of free agency and the Broncos are the only NFL team that has yet to sign an outside free agent. I get draft and develop but this is unprecedented," Klis said. "Come on guys, you mean there’s not even a swing tackle out there?"

Klis' frustration is understandably shared by Broncos fans who want to see their team, which was one Bo Nix injury away from making it to the Super Bowl, be aggressive and make improvements to the roster.

The Broncos have re-upped with a bunch of their own free agents, but they have also seen P.J. Locke and John Franklin-Meyers depart, and both of those guys need to be replaced.

Denver has also yet to acquire the veteran wide receiver this team needs to help out Nix, Courtland Sutton and a wide receivers group that features promising but unproven pass-catchers.

The fact that the Broncos haven't signed any outside free agents doesn't mean they aren't trying, as things just might not be breaking their way with players they're interested in.

But there is no question it is very odd that Denver hasn't landed even ONE free agent off the open market. Let's see if Day 5 is the day it happens.
