UEFA have confirmed that they have opened “disciplinary proceedings” against Chelsea winger Pedro Neto.
The Portuguese international pushed a ball boy during the 5-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night. No further action was taken against the player at the time but UEFA say that they are now considering a retrospective punishment:
“Disciplinary proceedings have been instigated against Pedro Lomba Neto for unsporting behaviour in accordance with Article 15(1)(a)(v) of UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.”
“UEFA’s disciplinary bodies will take a decision on this case in due course.”
