The guard will undergo a sesamoidectomy to address the ongoing discomfort that has affected his performance.

Pippen Jr. has been a steady contributor for Memphis over the past three seasons, averaging 10.6 points on 48% shooting overall and 39% from three-point range, along with 4.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.

This season, Pippen managed to play only 10 games in which he averaged 11.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 44.8% from the field and 31.3% from three.

Grizzlies currently sit 11th in the Western Conference with a 23-42 record.
