Patriots' NFL Free Agency Signing 'Always Looking To Try To Run Through Somebody’s Face'

The New England Patriots have officially signed defensive end/linebacker Dre'Mont Jones to a three-year, $36.5 million contract after the deal was first reported on Monday.

New England formally introduced Jones and other early offseason additions on Thursday and the 29-year-old discussed his high-intensity playing style.

"'I started off as a d-tackle, lost weight, and now I’m just a big-a-- end. Toughness, play balls to the wall, I’m always looking to try to run through somebody’s face.' -- OLB Dre’Mont Jones (listed at 281 but played at 265)," ESPN Patriots reporter Mike Reiss posted on Bluesky.

Jones spent the first four seasons of his career with the Denver Broncos after being selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

After two years with the Seattle Seahawks, the Ohio State product signed with the Tennessee Titans in March 2025 and was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in November.

Jones finished the 2025 campaign with career highs in sacks (7.0) and quarterback hits (24).
