“We have two options as a club right now: you either make Europe or you don’t. I think the most pleasing aspect with the committee (Angus Kinnear, Nick Hammond, and TFG) is that Everton have two roads they are already working on,” he said on A View From The Bullens.

“One of them is if Everton don’t qualify for Europe. One of them is qualifying for Europe, whether that is the Europa League or Conference League.

“They are morphed into one. I think the most pleasing part is that we are now seeing a lot more of a streamlined approach.”

Moyes has admitted he wants a new right-back signed and has done ever since he was re-appointed at Everton.

That is something that will not change regardless of whether Everton are able to secure European football or not.

However, there will be different levels of player on the radar now, with the hope that Everton could make a move for a better target if they do qualify for Europe.

The Friedkins are operating ahead of schedule at Everton

There has been a lot of change in such a short space of time following The Friedkin Group’s takeover.

It does have to be remembered that a really tough run of games lies ahead for Everton, which could see their European dreams come crashing back down to earth.

Even if that is the case, the tangible improvements are there for all to see on Merseyside.

Only 12 months ago Everton’s Premier League status remained in the balance, which highlights just how far the club have come.

Whether Everton secure European football or not, knowing the club are already putting the relevant plans in place behind the scenes should offer fans a lot of confidence.
