**West Ham face Manchester City at the London Stadium tomorrow in what is a crucial match for both sides.**
The Citizens are playing to stay within touching distance of Arsenal in the title race, while the Hammers are fighting to stay in the League.
This is probably seen as a more must-win game for City as the favourites, however, they’ve been in a real slump recently, while West Ham have been on fire, so Nuno’s side will believe they have a real chance of victory at home.
However, to do that Nuno Espírito Santo will have to get the team spot on, and with an injury to star man at the moment, Crysencio Summerville, that task has become harder.
What team should Nuno field as the Hammers take on Pep Guardiola’s Sky blues?
My team to face Manchester City: Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Disasi, Walker-Peters; Bowen, Fernandes, Soucek, Diouf; Castellanos, Pablo.
I would revert back to the 4-4-2 formation that’s been so good for us since the new year. I would make just two changes from the team that beat Fulham two weeks ago.
I’d bring in Walker-Peters for the injured Summerville, rather than going for Adama, I’d like the extra defensive solidness by going for Walker-Peters at left-back and Diouf at left-midfield.
I’d also bring in the returning Pablo Felipe for Callum Wilson, we could do with his hard-work, pressing, and hold-up play against the title chasers. Wilson could be a great threat off the bench alongside Adama Traore.
Also, Mohammadou Kante was unlikely to miss out after a sensational performance against Brentford, he will also have a huge role to play off of the bench.
Whatever team Pep fields tomorrow night is going to be stronger than ours on paper, but with the way they are playing, and the fight and determination we’ve been playing with recently could mean it ends positively for the Hammers, especially if Nuno gets it right.
