The Tennessee Titans have officially stepped into a new era after unveiling a franchise rebrand that is already stirring debate across the NFL.

The overhaul represents the organization’s most significant visual change since the franchise transitioned from the Tennessee Oilers more than 25 years ago. While the updated look nods to the team’s historic roots in Houston, it also incorporates design elements meant to celebrate three decades of football in Nashville.

“We wanted to come up with something that took the best parts of all of that and bring it together in a way that makes sense,” Titans president Burke Nihill said in a statement. Meanwhile an NFL WAG has refused to hide her opinion on her fiance's 'bittersweet' trade to the Titans.

The redesign arrives during a broader transformation for the franchise, which includes plans for a new stadium and the arrival of first-year head coach Robert Saleh.

It also marks a fresh chapter for rookie quarterback Cam Ward, who modeled the new uniforms as the Titans look to build their future around the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Nashville’s influence is woven directly into the uniforms design, with a “6-string stripe” featured on the pants, sleeves, and helmets as a tribute to Music City’s guitar culture

The primary logo offers a modern nod to the past, removing the flames and swords from the previous design. It features a redesigned white “T” set inside a Titans-blue circle with white and red accents, while the three familiar white stars remain to represent Tennessee’s three Grand Divisions.

The updated logo will appear on both sides of a white helmet, which will include a white facemask and a distinctive stripe running across the top.

However, the new design has divided opinion among fans, with some arguing the team should not have moved away from its previous logo. One X user said: "Did they ask any of the Titan's fans' opinions? These are terrible. Where's the navy? We are the Titans not the Oilers. The logo on the helmet is trash."

Another NFL fan added: "I think they’re going away from Greek mythology and leaning into an older style of doing it with “Titans of Tennessee” and “Titans on the Football Field” much like the Giants do it. It works better than I thought it would tbh. A- overall. Needs navy in the logo & a blue facemask".

"This is something that evolved over time," Nihill said. "I do hope our fans feel proud when they see it. I think these new uniforms, and all the other brand elements, are something people will respond to, and react to.

"During this process, the number of times that we heard: 'These are the best uniforms in pro sports' weren't words we were putting in peoples' mouths – they were saying that to us.

"And now, this is the Titans unform."
