The Seattle Seahawks are bringing back a familiar face on special teams, with safety D’Anthony Bell reportedly rejoining the team in free agency, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Also Thursday afternoon, the Seahawks announced they had released cornerback Tyler Hall.

This will mark the second straight offseason that the Seahawks add the 29-year-old Bell, who Seattle signed on March 24, 2025. He was waived before the regular season but stuck around for most of the season on the practice squad and ultimately appeared in 14 games for Seattle, including two starts.
Bell was claimed off of waivers on Jan. 1 by Carolina, but was waived on Jan. 14 without having a played a game for the Panthers.
The 6-foot-1, 211-pound Bell played 96 snaps on defense and 251 snaps on special teams for the Seahawks last season. He allowed two completions for 18 yards on two targets, made 15 combined tackles and half of a sack, and had a blocked punt.
Prior to coming to Seattle, Bell spent three seasons with the Cleveland Browns.
The 27-year-old Hall is a Wyoming product who played one game for the Seahawks in 2025. He broke into the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons in 2020 and played 22 combined games with the Las Vegas Raiders from 2021-23.
The Seahawks have had a strong focus on special teams during the first week of free agency, bringing back Pro Bowl return man Rashid Shaheed, long snapper Chris Stoll and captain Brady Russell, among others.
