Indiana Pacers Make Ivica Zubac Announcement Before Knicks Game

On Friday night, the Pacers will host the New York Knicks in Indiana.

The Pacers most recently lost to the Phoenix Suns (at home) by a score of 123-108.

Ivica Zubac played his first game with the team, finishing with eight points, six rebounds and two assists while shooting 4/6 from the field in 16 minutes of playing time.

Before Friday’s game, the Pacers have announced that Zubac will be listed as questionable on the injury report.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Ivica Zubac (ankle) listed questionable Friday.”

Zubac is averaging 14.3 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 61.4% from the field in 44 games this season.

Indiana Pacers wrote (on Thursday): “Ivica Zubac’s Pacers debut was over a month in the making, and lasted only 16 minutes. But those 16 minutes provided plenty of reasons for Pacers fans to dream big for next season and beyond.”

Zubac was the 32nd pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

He has also had stints with the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers over ten seasons in the league.

Evan Sidery wrote (on Thursday): “Ivica Zubac is making his debut for the Pacers tonight against the Suns.

Indiana traded Bennedict Mathurin, 2026 top-4 protected 1st (2031 unprotected if not conveyed) + unprotected 2029 1st to the Clippers for Zubac at the deadline.”

His career averages are 10.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 61.6% from the field in 628 games.

At 28, Zubac could be a major addition to a Pacers team that will have Tyrese Haliburton back in the lineup next season.

The Pacers are the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 15-51 record in 66 games.

They are in the middle of an 11-game losing streak (and 10-23 at home).

Following the Knicks, the Pacers will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin.
