Arsenal are reportedly hoping to renew the contracts of key players Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber after sealing Bukayo Saka's future with a long-term deal. Saka renewed his contract with the Gunners last month, securing his future until 2030.
Declan Rice has been crucial in maintaining Arsenal's stellar form in recent seasons, establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe. Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber has become a major part of the Gunners' backline. Both players' current contracts run until June 2028. Rice and Timber have been on the North London club's list for renewals for a while, especially after they secured Bukayo Saka's future. The Englishman extended his contract for four-and-a-half years. Moreover, David Raya and Leandro Trossard have also been handed new deals.
According to Fabrizio Romano (h/t BBC), Arsenal have begun talks with Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber to renew their contracts. The new deals will reportedly include a significant increase in salary, allowing Rice and Timber to secure their future at the Emirates. Moreover, Rice is eager to secure the renewal as well, while Timber's deal is also on the way.
While securing the future of their best players, Arsenal are also eyeing a historic quadruple this season. The Gunners are at the top of the Premier League with 67 points off 30 games. They are the favorites to win the league, barring any major dip in form. Meanwhile, they are also set to face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup and Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

According to TEAMtalk, Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez is keen on returning to the Premier League and is open to signing for Arsenal this summer. The Argentine has been in decent form for Diego Simeone's side, recording 45 goals in 98 appearances across competitions since joining in the summer of 2024.
Multiple clubs are reportedly interested in signing Julian Alvarez, including Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea. However, Atletico Madrid are unlikely to sell the star to Barca, given their well-known rivalry. Moreover, the Catalan side's financial woes may not allow them to sign Alvarez for a hefty price.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta's side is reportedly keen on pursuing Alvarez, despite Viktor Gyokeres's presence. Chelsea are set to give tough competition to the Gunners, although Alvarez would reportedly prefer a switch to the latter instead.
The aforementioned report claims that Julian Alvarez's agents have begun talks with the Gunners over a potential move this summer. Atletico Madrid are expected to demand a reported €150 million for the Argentine, but the Gunners could afford it if they offload multiple players in the upcoming summer transfer window.
In either case, Julian Alvarez could reportedly leave Atletico Madrid ahead of next season with the Premier League becoming a likely destination.
