Report claims Everton now trying to sign gem who has 84% win rate playing with Kiernan…

Everton are attempting to sign Cesare Casadei from Torino.

That is according to Tuttosport in Italy, who believe the Toffees have sent representatives to Turin to explore a deal for the 23-year-old central midfielder.

If a move for Casadei does materialise, we expect Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to be amongst the first to welcome the Italian to the Hill Dickinson Stadium having got to know him well at Leicester and Chelsea.

Remember him at Chelsea… do we need another midfielder? 🫣

Everton target Cesare Casadei.

Leicester and Chelsea often won when Cesare Casadei partnered Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in midfield

The Torino No.22 first got to know the Everton No.22 after Chelsea loaned him to Leicester in the 2023/24 campaign, where they played 19 games together and helped the Foxes win all but four of those matches.

After Casadei returned to Chelsea and Dewsbury-Hall followed in a £30m move from Leicester, the pair played another six games, helping the west Londoners win them all with an impressive aggregate score of 28-4.

A match report from the Standard even credited Dewsbury-Hall with ‘guiding’ Casadei through a 4-2 win over Gent in the UEFA Conference League, as the man born in Ravenna made his debut in the competition at the age of 21 years, eight months and 23 days.

It means the duo can boast a win rate of 84% from their time on the pitch together, a fact The Friedkin Group are surely aware of as talks are held to sign the former Chelsea man from Torino.

Furthermore, Everton could reunite two close friends in John Stones and Jordan Pickford, as the Toffees contemplate a move for the Manchester City defender when his contract expires at the end of this season.

Tuttosport say Everton face competition for Casadei from West Ham – who could relegate Tottenham and ensure the Toffees become one of just five clubs never to have dropped out of the Premier League.

There could be a fire sale in north London this summer if they go down! 🔥

However, if the Hammers themselves go down, Everton could well have a free run at signing Casadei – barring any other clubs entering the race, of course.
