The Washington Commanders knew they needed to add some wide receivers this offseason.
Within seconds of each other on Friday, two new WR signings were reported for Washington.
The Athletic's Nicki Jhabvala had the news of both: Dyami Brown and Van Jefferson are both joining the Commanders.
For Brown, it's a reunion with Washington.
He was a third-round pick by Washington in the 2021 NFL Draft out of North Carolina.
The 26-year old spent his first four NFL seasons with the Commanders. His best year was his last, when in 2024 he had 30 catches for 308 yards.

Brown departed to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2025. He appeared in 14 games and had 20 grabs for 227 yards for the surprising division champion Jags.
Now, Brown returns to reunite with Jayden Daniels.
Jefferson is going to try and keep his NFL career alive with the Commanders.
He was originally a second-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Jefferson stayed with the Rams until midway through the 2023 season, when he was shipped to the Atlanta Falcons.
Jefferson's best season was 2021 with the Rams, when he had 50 catches for 802 yards and six touchdowns.
He spent just 12 games with the Falcons, then went to the Steelers for 2024 and the Titans in 2025.
This past season with Tennessee, Jefferson had 29 catches for 350 yards and a touchdown in 16 games.
Between the two of them, at least one should end up competing for the WR spots behind Terry McLaurin. Washington could still make a spot at this position in the draft or in free agency, too.
