Ravens Could Add Another Star Pass Rusher After Trey Hendrickson Signing

Former Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Joey Bosa during an NFL game.

The Baltimore Ravens have been busy during this free agency window. Baltimore’s offseason has been hectic, crazy, and beneficial all at the same time.

The Baltimore Ravens fired John Harbaugh to begin the offseason. He is now the head coach of the New York Giants. Baltimore hired head coach Jesse Minter to take Harbaugh’s place. Minter was hired along with a brand-new coaching staff.

The Ravens would then shock the NFL world by trading two first round picks to the Las Vegas Raiders for edge rusher Maxx Crosby. After a reported failed physical, the Ravens backed out of the trade for Crosby.

After the Crosby trade fell through, former Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson signed a four-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens up to $120 Million on March 11. Baltimore received the pass rush help they needed regardless of what happened with Maxx Crosby.

But the Ravens may add another pass rusher…

Joey Bosa Could Be on Baltimore’s Radar

According to Sports Illustrated, Joey Bosa could be a name Baltimore will consider.

“One name whom some experts have begun monitoring to fill that role is Joey Bosa, who’s actually younger than Hendrickson at 30 years old.” Henry Brown wrote in the Sports Illustrated article.

Bosa spent the 2025 season with the Buffalo Bills recording 17 solo tackles and 5 sacks. The star pass rusher also recorded a league leading 5 forced fumbles with 2 passes defended.

Joey Bosa is a five-time NFL Pro Bowler. He spent 9 seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers before joining the Buffalo Bills in 2025. Bosa was the number 3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft out of Ohio State.

“Even in his less-agile state, his aggression would still be a major plus in Baltimore. A down-tackling season by his standards would still register as well above most of the 2025 Ravens defenders, a team who would’ve dreamed of adding Bosa as a defensive end who wouldn’t even soak up the most attention within his position core.” Brown wrote.

Joey Bosa Could Take Baltimore Ravens’ Defense To The Next Level

There will be high expectations for the Baltimore Ravens defense after the Trey Hendrickson signing. If Baltimore can grab Joey Bosa, their pass rush could be special in 2026.

The defense is already loaded with talent such as Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, and Nate Wiggins. Add pass rusher Trey Hendrickson to the mix along with a returning defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike plus a brand-new coaching staff–Baltimore will be a threat to contend in 2026.

Adding Joey Bosa could do more good than harm considering Baltimore’s ‘win now mode. Trey Hendrickson’s signing proves that to be true.

Trey Hendrickson missed 10 games due to injuries in 2025 and only had 4.0 sacks. He ended the 2025 season on injured reserve due to a procedure to repair a core muscle injury. Injuries have been issue for Bosa as well, but when he’s on the field, he can be a difference maker.

Bosa has 77 career sacks and 22 career forced fumbles. His consistency is something Baltimore may want during this free agency window. If Baltimore can get their hands on Joey Bosa, their chances of coming out of the AFC skyrocket.
