Eagles Reach Decision on AJ Brown Trade: Report

One of the biggest names rumored to be available this offseason is star wide receiver A.J. Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brown appeared frustrated with the organization on several occasions last season, particularly with the Eagles' lack of a consistent passing game and his overall target share.

Despite that, he remains under contract through 2029. The two teams most frequently linked to the Pro Bowl receiver have been the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.

However, on Friday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Eagles have seemingly reached a decision on a potential Brown trade - at least for the immediate future - and do not plan to move him after what were described as "serious conversations" with the Patriots and Rams.

"After serious conversations with both the Rams and Patriots, the Eagles will not trade A.J. Brown at this time, according to multiple league sources," Russini reported. "Both teams remain interested, but no move is imminent. If a trade were to happen, it would likely heat up closer to June 1."

Brown has not formally requested a trade, and with several years remaining on his contract, the Eagles hold all the leverage in any potential deal.

Last season, Brown hauled in 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. He has recorded seven touchdowns in each of the last three seasons in Philadelphia. However, the 1,003 receiving yards marked his lowest total since arriving in the City of Brotherly Love in 2022 via a trade from the Tennessee Titans.
