Bucs Re-Sign Guard Dan Feeney
March 13th, 2026
Dangerous Dan Feeney will get his first full season with Tampa Bay, provided he makes the initial 53-man roster.
Per Peter Schrager of ESPN, Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht re-signed guard Feeney today to a one-year deal.
At the NFL Scouting Combine, Licht told Joe and other local media that he liked what he saw from Feeney. And two weeks later, he has a new contract.
The Bucs signed Feeney off the Bills’ practice squad in mid-September. The nine-year veteran played in 12 games and was the starting right guard for the Bucs’ final 10 games in place of injured Cody Mauch.
Joe started calling Feeney “Dangerous Dan” because, well, he was downright dangerous at times to Baker Mayfield. Still, Feeney was rather steady, albeit not at a high level.
There’s a shortage of capable guards across the NFL. So at least the Bucs are getting someone familiar, a guy that will have chemistry with teammates if he gets in a game. It also could help Feeney to spend a full offseason and training camp with his team. Joe still expects the Bucs to look for more guard-center help.
Joe’s favorite Feeney highlight is below.
