Simone Biles sent a message to her husband Jonathan Owens after signing with the Indianapolis Colts

Seven-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles has been with husband Jonathan Owens through much of his professional football journey, and she’s about to experience her fourth NFL team.

Biles and Owens got married back in April 2023 after dating for a little over three years.

The couple met each other on Raya, a dating app geared toward celebrities, athletes, and the wealthy elite, back in March 2020. They went Instagram official five months later and announced their engagement in February 2022.

During their relationship Biles has supported Owens during his stints with the Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears. And now, Owens is signing with another NFL team, and Biles is about to experience her fourth city as an NFL WAG.

It was announced on Friday that Owens was leaving the Windy City to sign with his fifth team in eight years.

“The #Colts have agreed to terms with safety and special teamer Jonathan Owens on a one-year deal,” NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported.

Biles immediately hit social media to share her reaction to her husband’s big news.

“So proud of you baby 🤍. Indy, here we come,” Biles wrote on her Instagram story while sharing the post of Owens’ signing.

One can assume one of the first things Biles will do before the start of next season is purchase some Colts gear.

The 28-year-old gymnast caught plenty of flack on social media shortly after Owens joined the Bears back in 2024 for wearing a custom Packers jacket that prominently displayed her husband in a Packers jersey.

“The way I be wanting to clap back soooo bad but I gotta stay as classy as possible,” Biles posted on Threads in response to all of the hate she received.

However, Biles quickly remedied the situation, telling TMZ “I have plenty [of Bears apparel] now, so don’t you worry about it.”

What Does Owens Bring to the Colts?

Despite heading into his eight NFL season, Owens has yet to carve out a regular role for himself as a starter. Of the 82 games he’s played, he’s started just 35 of them — the bulk of which came in 2022 and 2023 with the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers.

Except for those two seasons, the bulk of Owens’ snaps have come on special teams, where he’s played 990 snaps since 2020.

The 30-year-old safety has logged 295 tackles, 10 passes defensed, 4 fumble recoveries, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 2 sacks, and a defensive touchdown.

Last year’s second-leading tackle Nick Cross left to join the Washington Commanders, leaving Cam Bynum and Rodney Thomas II are the Colts’ top returning safeties, though the latter played in a more reserve role in 2025.

It’s possible Owens could battle Thomas II for the second starting safety spot opposite Bynum while also likely serving as a big contributor on special teams as well.
