The future of Giannis Antetokounmpo is up in the air, and a recent quote could see his interest in the Miami Heat growing. Reports of the Milwaukee Bucks looking at trade offers for Giannis at the deadline featured the Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves listed as the top two teams with a chance to acquire him.
Antetokounmpo had glowing praise for Miami after they defeated his Bucks team on Thursday:
“They’re going to play tough, and they’re not going to stop playing. That’s the Miami Heat culture. It’s tough. For me personally, I don’t know how the team [Bucks] feels, but for me personally, it’s a tough season, I’m just trying to take it game by game. I’m grateful — happy that I’m out here competing. But at the same time, it’s in my nature to win games.”
Multiple comments here give Heat fans optimism about potentially adding Giannis in the offseason if he requests a trade. The most important thing is that Antetokounmpo continues to talk about his desire to win games, while Milwaukee keeps losing to fall out of the play-in race.
