Has a new team entered the A.J. Brown sweepstakes?

The A.J. Brown trade saga has not been resolved yet. But a new suitor has inserted itself in the mix for the Philadelphia Eagles’ All-Pro wide receiver.

The Los Angeles Rams “continue to monitor” the Brown situation “with interest,” according to a Friday report from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

The Rams actually discussed trading for Brown last week before sending their 2026 first-round pick and more to the Kansas City Chiefs for All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie.

“No upgrade possibility is too bold for the Rams to explore right now,” Rams beat reporter Nate Atkins wrote. “They’re having a few of those discussions, and A.J. Brown is one of them.”

It would be a tough sell for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman to trade Brown to Los Angeles unless he received a jaw-dropping draft haul.

The Rams are Super Bowl contenders and already have star receivers Puka Nakua and Davante Adams. Adding Brown to Matthew Stafford’s arsenal would almost be unfair.

The Rams no longer have a 2026 first-rounder after sending it to Kansas City. But they do own their first-rounder in 2027.

Looking around the league, the pool of teams that would deal for Brown is an interesting spot.

The Bills traded for Bears star D.J. Moore. The Patriots signed Packers free agent Romeo Doubs to a long-term contract — but perhaps not one that would preclude them from trading for Brown. The Ravens might be back in the mix after retaining their 2026 and 2027 first-rounders that were supposed to go to the Raiders for Maxx Crosby.

We know the Eagles would rather hold onto Brown. Roseman has made that clear.

And yet, trade rumors have followed Brown really since October when the 28-year-old star receiver started to vocalize his frustrations.

If Roseman does deal the three-time All-Pro, he’ll be looking to recoup serious draft capital.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the Eagles have a high price tag on Brown — a “Quinnen Williams-type” of price tag. Williams, the All-Pro defensive tackle, was traded from the Jets to the Cowboys for a first-rounder, a second-rounder and a player.

We’ll see if the Eagles get that kind of offer — and if it comes from the Rams.
