Borussia Dortmund are reportedly prepared to sell winger Karim Adeyemi this summer, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United all linked with the Germany international as the transfer market begins to take shape.
Recent reports suggest Dortmund could allow Adeyemi to leave as the club looks to balance its finances and reshape the squad following a difficult European campaign. The Bundesliga side may need to raise funds, and selling high-value attackers is seen as one possible solution.
Adeyemi has been one of Dortmund’s most exciting attacking players since joining from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022. The 24-year-old is known for his explosive pace and versatility, capable of playing as a winger, second striker or central forward.
Interest from England has been building for some time. Arsenal and Manchester United have both been strongly linked with the forward, while CHELSEA have also been mentioned among clubs keeping a close eye on his situation.
Negotiations over a new contract with Dortmund have reportedly stalled, which has increased speculation that the German side could cash in during the summer window rather than risk losing leverage in future negotiations.
Adeyemi still has a contract running until 2027, but Dortmund may consider selling if a suitable offer arrives. Reports have previously suggested that Dortmund would demand a significant fee for the attacker, with figures around €65m–€70m being mentioned in transfer discussions.
Could Adeyemi succeed in the Premier League?
If Adeyemi does leave Dortmund this summer, the Premier League would appear to be a natural destination. The winger possesses several qualities that suit English football — particularly his speed, direct running and ability to stretch defences.
For Arsenal, he could offer another explosive wide option in Mikel Arteta’s attack, especially in games where pace in transition is crucial. At Manchester United, Adeyemi could provide versatility across the front line and help add speed to a forward unit that has sometimes lacked penetration.
Meanwhile, CHELSEA have invested heavily in young attacking talent and could see Adeyemi as another long-term addition.
However, there are still questions about consistency. While Adeyemi has shown flashes of brilliance in Germany, he has not always delivered elite numbers across an entire season. The Premier League’s physicality and tactical intensity would present a new challenge.
Age is another factor. At 24, Adeyemi is entering the prime development stage of his career, meaning a move now could define whether he becomes a genuine elite forward or remains a talented but inconsistent attacker.
