After a week of games against high-caliber opponents, the Celtics get a bit of a reprieve Saturday when they host the Wizards at TD Garden.
The Celtics defeated the Cavaliers, who are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, on Sunday before losing to both of the top teams in the Western Conference, the Thunder and Spurs, during the week.
On Saturday, the Wizards come to town on a 10-game losing streak. Washington, which sits just a tick above Indiana at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, has lost eight in a row on the road.
Boston was without Jayson Tatum (Achilles management), Derrick White (knee contusion), and Nikola Vucevic (broken finger) against Oklahoma City on Thursday. Tatum is averaging 19.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in three games since he returned from offseason surgery. Tatum is slated to play Saturday and White is listed as probable.
