Cole Palmer admits one thing keeps happening at Chelsea and it needs to change

Cole Palmer has delivered a wake-up call to his Chelsea teammates, warning that while the club’s newfound comeback kings reputation is impressive, it is a dangerous habit.

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has finally moved past his injury at the perfect time for Liam Rosenior.

He’s featured just 22 times this season due to fitness and injury issues, scoring 10 goals and assisting three, but he’s starting to find form with five goals and an assist in his last five in the Premier League.

Despite this, John Obi Mikel believes that Palmer is being utilised in the wrong position at times by Liam Rosenior, with his best position being at number 10.

However, Rosenior should be more worried about the defensive side of things at Chelsea right now.

Cole Palmer demands Chelsea avoid conceding early goals

The defensive issues at Chelsea have been on show throughout Liam Rosenior’s time at Chelsea, and Cole Palmer is starting to get fed up.

He shared his thoughts in an interview with Chelsea.

“It’s good [that we’ve shown we can turn games around]. It’s just probably better if we don’t keep going behind in the first place! But to know that we can do it is good.

“Obviously, the table is tight, so we need as many points as we can get.”

With a Champions League exit looking likely due to the three-goal deficit, it’s vitally important that Chelsea finish inside the top five. But it won’t be easy with the Blues, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Manchester United all fighting for three places.

Chelsea’s still yet to find defensive consistency

Chelsea have conceded first in their last two games against Wrexham and Paris Saint-Germain, highlighting the issue that Cole Palmer has noticed.

However, the defensive issues on a whole are yet to be resolved, with the Blues only keeping three clean sheets out of 16 games.
