“Seamus [Coleman] is a one-off. Seamus would be loved by any manager at any club because of what he brings to the dressing room and what he brings to the players,” Moyes told Sky Sports.

“I think it is missing. There are lots of things missing and different in football now. I think the older players who have stopped playing now would find it difficult to understand the generation that we’ve got in.”

James Tarkowski fully expects Coleman to go into management in the future due to the qualities that Moyes highlighted.

Leighton Baines has already demonstrated that an avenue into coaching is possible on Merseyside for Everton’s former players.

Discussing his future this time last year, Moyes shared how important it was for Everton to keep Coleman around the club.

The 37-year-old has managed only 12 minutes of Premier League action this season, which does indicate where his career may be heading this summer.

However, the Irishman’s presence at Finch Farm is something Moyes wants to keep around in some capacity.
