The Miami Heat received important roster news ahead of a crucial Eastern Conference matchup. Guards Norman Powell and Tyler Herro have both been upgraded to available for Saturday's game against the Orlando Magic.
Miami Heat / Schedule
The return comes at an important moment for Miami as the team looks to improve its position in the playoff race.
The Heat currently hold a 38-29 record, sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference, while Orlando is right ahead at 37-28 in fifth place. The matchup could have a major impact on the standings.
Powell had missed the last seven games due to a right groin strain. The injury originally placed him in a week-to-week timeline, but the veteran guard appears ready to return sooner than expected.

His comeback is significant for Miami, as Powell leads the team in scoring this season with 22.5 points per game and earned his first All-Star selection.
Herro also returns after missing the last two games with left quadriceps soreness. The guard had already been working his way back after a long absence earlier in the season caused by a ribs injury that sidelined him for 15 games.
Before the recent soreness, Herro had been playing some of his best basketball. During March, he averaged 26.3 points per game while shooting 53.7 percent from the field and an impressive 51.7 percent from three point range.
