Thierry Henry has shared the secret to his incredible body transformation which has left him looking like a 'beast'. Arsenal legend Henry was a slim, fleet-footed forward during his playing days, but he's now ripped at the age of 48.
The Frenchman is regularly seen suited and booted working as a pundit for US broadcaster CBS Sports' coverage of the Champions League. His most recent coaching role was with France's under-21s before he led them to silver at the 2024 Olympic Games.
On Saturday, Henry shared a video of himself and partner Andrea Rajacic going through a workout to his 4.5 million followers on Instagram. The ex-Arsenal star, wearing a 10kg weighted vest, filmed himself doing various exercises.
Henry also posted two topless photos, showing off his ripped frame and gleaming abs. As the caption, the 1998 World Cup winner wrote: "HOUR session with MY PARTNER IN CRIME and a 10kg vest on."
He then revealed his three strict rules to getting in shape. "WORK HARD, EAT WELL, NO SUGAR!!!" Henry added.
Henry's followers were stunned. They included Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe, who replied: "Ah yeah, I caught the old man."
Joining Mbappe in the comments section, another follower declared: "The King has become a beast." One fan replied: "Bro can get into [the] Arsenal starting 11 right now."
A third declared: "Final boss of the game. Best French player of history." One follower even suggested that Henry should get into wrestling, saying: "Titi in WWE next."
As for his life outside of the gym, Henry said that last year that he's unsure whether he'll return to coaching, having also managed Monaco and MLS side Montreal after retiring from playing in 2014. The 48-year-old admitted on the Stick to Football podcast: "It would have to be something stupid [good] for me to stop what I'm doing right now, and the balance that I have.
"What do you have as a coach to protect you once you've signed? You need to protect yourself before and I'm not in a situation where I can pick and choose where I can go, I'm not at that level.
"I've analysed the life that I have now and need to ensure that I don't make a mistake not only for me, but for my family. Before the Olympic Games, because I didn’t think about what I just said, I would have taken anything because I needed to prove to myself that I could lead a team."
