**Thierno Barry has claimed his friends were ‘attacked’ during Everton’s loss at Arsenal.**
Barry made a substitute appearance for David Moyes’ side as they suffered a late 2-0 defeat to the Premier League leaders on Saturday evening.
But the reversal at the Emirates Stadium was overshadowed by allegations that the French forward’s associates were targeted in the away section.
The .Blues’ No.11 shared footage on social media that showed punches being rained down on two men while others filmed the incident at a distance.
“This kind of behaviour is not acceptable in a stadium,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I bring my friends to enjoy a game, and it gets ruined by a few silly people.
“Football should be a place where everyone feels safe and respected. This type of attitude has no place in the game and is simply not tolerated in football.
“My friends and the people who were attacked had to be escorted by the Arsenal club’s security staff as well as the police because of fears of retaliation from our supporters.”
