The New York Giants continue to add skill position players to bolster the offense and help quarterback Jaxson Dart have more weapons. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting that wide receiver Darnell Mooney and the Giants have agreed to a one-year deal that is worth up to $10 million. This is a strong addition to the Giants wide receiver depth chart and a veteran receiver to get open.

Mooney had a down season in 2025, playing in 15 games and recording 32 catches on 72 targets for 443 yards (13.8 yards per reception) with one receiving touchdown. With the New York Giants having running back Cam Skattebo and wide receiver Malik Nabers returning from injuries, having a veteran they can supplement them with is critical. The team has players like Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, and Isaiah Hodgins at wide receiver, so there will be some additional competition to make the 53-man roster at the position.

The New York Giants have a lot of excitement with their offseason additions. As a result, people are expecting them to a playoff contender, especially with the draft picks they possess heading into this year’s draft. It will be interesting to see if the team is done making signings or if they will continue to attack some of the best free agents remaining.
