NFL Community Scrambles as Fake Shedeur Sanders “Prenup Warning” to Travis Hunter Goes Viral

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter entered the NFL as one of the most anticipated prospects in recent history. His short rookie season ended with 28 receptions and 298 yards.

Now while he is recovering from his injury, his personal life has become a target for online speculation. Following his May 2025 marriage to his longtime partner, Leanna Lenee, the couple has faced a steady stream of unsubstantiated rumors, including cheating allegations and claims of a looming divorce often based on out-of-context social media clips.

The most viral one is Coach Prime’s son, Shedeur Sanders, who warned him about a prenup.

Did Shedeur Sanders really warn Travis Hunter about a prenup?

The original Sanders video currently circulating is actually an old 2022 locker room clip of him talking about baseball gear. He never mentioned prenups, Leanna, or any personal drama.

Those who spread it justadded the fake caption, “Shedeur Sanders posted a video saying he begged Travis Hunter to make his wife Leanna sign a prenup when they got married but he said he wants her to make the decisions in the marriage 😳” and it just made the drama live.

It dropped after a post from parody account @obsrvate went viral on social media this week, claiming Hunter posted a video saying he regrets not getting a prenup, having caught Leanna cheating for the third time, and that he now owes her $200K per month.

Millions of people on X were misled by two videos of Hunter and Leanna that had nothing to do with the rumors attached to them.

This fake narrative actually started as a joke by Deion Sanders in 2022. While coaching at Jackson State, he told Hunter on camera, “Let me know because I’m gonna do your prenup for you,” while jokingly holding up a children’s book. That old clip, combined with the fake Shedeur quote, fueled the recent viral speculation.

And there is no evidence the couple is divorcing, nor any proof of cheating or a “$200K-a-month” payout. Because prenups are private legal documents, there is no public record of whether Hunter signed one or not.

Fans react to the viral prenup drama related to Travis Hunter

Once the fabricated report hit people’s news feeds, everyone started blaming Hunter for not listening when he had the chance.

“He’s cooked,” one fanwrote.

Anotheradded, “Everyone tried to warn him and he didn’t listen, so now he’s gotta deal with the consequences.”

A thirdclaimed, “He gets what he deserves. So many high-profile athletes and celebrities tried to tell him but he ignored it all. Deal with your misery now, buddy.”

“Travis should’ve listened to Shedeur, now he’s paying the price,” the fourth onenoted.

A fifth oneremarked, “Bro ignored the most important advice of his life.”

There is one thing we know for sure. None of them heard the audio from the original video, even though it was attached to the fake post. And in that video, Shedeur was just talking about his own thing, nothing related to Hunter’s married life. And the most important part? It was a three-year-old video, far before the timeline when Hunter got married.
