Arsenal full-back Jurrien Timber has expressed his delight at Max Dowman’s first Premier League goal in the victory over Everton, following an injury scare he suffered earlier in the match.
Timber was forced to leave the pitch against the Toffees after failing to shake off a leg issue. He was involved in a clash with Iliman Ndiye midway through the first half.
Despite attempting to continue, he was forced to be withdrawn in the 37th minute, and was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera.
At the time, the score was 0-0, and that is how the match stayed until the 89th minute when Viktor Gyokeres finally gave Arsenal the lead from close range.

The Gunners were looking to see the game out deep into extra time, when substitute Max Dowman launched a counter-attack and ran almost the length of the pitch to make it 2-0 and secure all three points for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Following the game, Dowman took to social media to give his response. Timber shared that post on his own Instagram story along with a red heart emoji - it’s the full-back’s only social media post since the injury worry.
Arteta was not asked about Timber’s condition following the game, with the defender a doubt for some crucial matches coming up in four different competitions.

It’s a quick turnaround for Arsenal as they are back in action on Tuesday night in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
Kai Havertz’s 89th-minute penalty in the first leg means that the scoreline is at 1-1 going into the match.
Following the Leverkusen tie, Arsenal take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, March 22 (4.30pm kick-off).

After the international break, the Gunners travel to take on Championship side Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-final.
It’s then back to Premier League action on Saturday, April 11, when Arsenal host Bournemouth (12.30pm kick-off). That’s followed by another meeting with City, this time in the Premier League.
