49ers get major update on signing Joey Bosa to join brother Nick

The San Francisco 49ers' fanbase noticed something.

The Bosa mother, Cheryl, is thinking about her sons Joey and Nick playing together.

A different Instagram account created a post showing Nick and Joey together in 49ers' jerseys, and Cheryl saw that and shared it on her own story.

It doesn't have to mean it's a done deal, but it does mean the Bosa family is obviously aware of the possibility.

Joey is a free agent after spending the 2025 season with the Buffalo Bills.

Nick has spent his entire NFL career with the 49ers and remains under contract there.

Joey played in 15 games for the Bills in 2025. He had 5.0 sacks and a league-leading five forced fumbles.

In his career, the older Bosa brother has 77.0 NFL sacks.

CBS Sports writer Zachary Perales predicted earlier this offseason that Joey will land in the Bay Area.

"The Bosa brothers reunite as San Francisco adds a much-needed pass rusher," Perales writes. "Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams are both coming off a torn ACL, and the elder Bosa would be a help as a situational player."

Now, momma Bosa is apparently on board. Let's see what happens.
