Guardiola Sends Warning To Arsenal Despite Man City Dropping More Points

**Man City manager Pep Guardiola has told Arsenal “it’s not over” despite his side dropping two valuable points against West Ham on Saturday night.**

Guardiola was in the stands for the 1-1 draw at the London Stadium due to a touchline ban. He had said before the game that losing more ground to the Gunners could prove fatal for their chances of finishing top of the table, but asked for his thoughts on [**City’s title prospects**](https://mancitynews.com/man-city-news-ruben-dias-title-race/) in his post-match press conference, Guardiola said:

“It’s not over. Who said that? We didn’t lose. We will continue. Nine points is a lot against Arsenal, but it happened.”

“We have the game at home, so we have to try until the end. When it is not possible, then we congratulate the champion, but we have to try.”

Man City have a huge mountain to climb

--------------------------------------

While the Cityzens do have a game in hand, which could reduce the gap to six points, Arsenal have a huge advantage heading into the final two months of the season.

In 2023, the Gunners did give up an eight-point lead at a similar stage of the campaign, but any hopes that City have of winning the league now hinge on them beating the Gunners at the Etihad on April 19th, Guardiola’s men winning all seven of their other matches AND

Mikel Arteta’s side losing one other game. Even then, goal difference would come into play.

The title race resumes in mid-April

-----------------------------------

It will be almost a month before either team plays in the Premier League again. They square off in the Carabao Cup final next weekend. There is then an international break, immediately after which FA Cup quarter-final ties will be played.

City’s next league fixture is against Chelsea on April 12th, with Arsenal facing Bournemouth at home a day before.
