As the Timberwolves prepare to take on the Thunder, the team received good news on the injury front: Edwards was going through his normal pregame routine. While that doesn’t guarantee Edwards will suit up and play on Sunday, that is typically a strong indicator that suggests he’ll manage to give it a go.
However, the Timberwolves still have the star guard as questionable on the 11:15 AM ET injury report.

The Timberwolves nearly entered the weekend on a five-game losing streak.
When they took on the Golden State Warriors on March 13, the Timberwolves were able to clear Edwards for the matchup and roll him out for 37 minutes. The star guard shot 13-22 from the field to score 42 points. He nearly secured a double-double with eight rebounds. Edwards added five assists, one steal, and one block to his stat line as well.
The Timberwolves defeated the Warriors 127-117, snapping the streak. They are now 41-26 heading into the Sunday afternoon matchup.
Sitting fifth in the Western Conference, the Timberwolves are trailing the Houston Rockets by 0.5 games. The Los Angeles Lakers, who recently jumped into the third seed, are only one game ahead of Minnesota.
As for Minnesota’s Sunday opponent, the Thunder remain the strongest in the conference. They’ve controlled the first seed since the beginning, and continue to hold a three-game lead over the San Antonio Spurs.
Going into Sunday’s game, the Thunder are on a seven-game winning streak.
The two teams will tip off at 1 PM ET.
