The Baltimore Ravens have been considered one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the AFC over the last few years. Unfortunately, they have been unable to live up to the hype.

Last season, the Ravens were once again expected to be one of the best teams in the NFL. They ended up missing the playoffs, which led to parting ways with longtime head coach John Harbaugh.

After hiring Jesse Minter to replace Harbaugh, Baltimore entered the 2026 NFL offseason looking to beef up the roster. So far, the front office has been busy doing just that.

Right off the bat, the Ravens made a splash move with the trade to acquire star pass rusher Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the team quickly backed out of the trade due to long-term concerns about Crosby’s knee. They quickly pivoted to signing former Cincinnati Bengals star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson instead.

Outside of that situation, Baltimore has re-signed quarterback Tyler Huntley, signed safety Jaylinn Hawkins, signed offensive lineman John Simpson, added cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, and they have made a couple other moves as well.

There are still some areas that need to be addressed. One of them comes at the wide receiver position.

Baltimore Ravens Land Major NFL Free Agency Prediction

With DeAndre Hopkins currently a free agent, there have been no reports about the Ravens trying to bring him back. Should they choose to go in a different direction, they will need to replace him.

That is where a new prediction from Nick Pedone of Deadspin could make some sense.

In an article published on March 12, Pedone made the prediction that the Ravens will end up signing Tyreek Hill in NFL free agency.

“The Kansas City Chiefs also make sense for Hill, but they haven’t been overly motivated to make that happen,” Pedone wrote. “The Ravens chose Lamar Jackson over John Harbaugh despite the quarterback showing signs of regression last year. Baltimore might as well try to push all your chips into the center of the table – or else that could be a costly decision.”

Hill is coming off of a gruesome left knee dislocation that also resulted in an ACL tear. Whether or not he can return to his level of play from before the injury remains to be seen. However, taking a gamble on a playmaker like Hill could still make sene for Baltimore.

What Would A Healthy Tyreek Hill Bring to the Ravens?

Last season, Hill only played in four games and caught 21 passes for 265 yards and a score. Looking at his three previous seasons with the Dolphins shows what he’s capable of doing on the field.

In 2024, he caught 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games. During the 2023 season, he caught 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns. Back in 2022, he racked up 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven scores.

When he’s at his best, Hill is one of the most dangerous wide receivers the NFL has seen in recent history.

Giving Lamar Jackson that kind of weapon would be an ideal scenario for the Ravens. The injury complicates the matter and brings up risk, but he’s worth taking a one-year flier deal on.
