Joe Flacco is still out there in free agency, and the veteran quarterback isn’t being quiet about what he wants. Heading into his 19th NFL season, Flacco is looking for a spot where he can at least push for a starting role.
A return to Cincinnati does not seem likely after the Bengals brought in Josh Johnson, basically shutting that door. But teams needing a steady hand at quarterback might still find something to like in what Flacco brings.

He has spent 18 seasons in the league, with his best years coming with the Baltimore Ravens. Since getting dealt to Denver back in 2019, though, he is bounced around a bit.

Flacco has racked up 48,176 passing yards and 272 touchdowns over his career. He’s got a Pro Bowl nod, a Comeback Player of the Year award, a Super Bowl MVP trophy, and a ring to his name. Another landing spot could be coming soon.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Joe Flacco is still weighing his options in free agency and one of those options is to head to the Las Vegas Raiders under Klint Kubiak to back up their soon to be No. 1 pick in former Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza.
“Joe Flacco, who’s been around, has started a lot of games. He is available. He is weighing options right now. Speaking of Vegas, I’m told that that is an option for him, that they would have interest in potentially bringing him along, as a backup/bridge, if Fernando Mendoza needs to sit a little bit, assuming they draft him, which they will,” Fowler said on SportsCenter.

NFL quarterback Joe Flacco
Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco stands on the sideline in the NFL Week 14 game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025.
Flacco is not rushing into anything at this point in his career. It is about finding the right fit.
Last season showed how fast things can change in the NFL. When Cincinnati needed help after Joe Burrow went down and Jake Browning struggled, Flacco came in and gave them solid play. That kind of situation might be what he is waiting for again. Sitting tight now could open up a better opportunity if another team suddenly needs a veteran.
