Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs keen on signing Mateus Fernandes this summer.
The 21-year-old midfielder has established himself as a key player for West Ham United since joining from Southampton FC last summer in a deal worth over £40m.
His impressive performances at the London Stadium have attracted transfer interest from several top clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to SportsBoom, Arsenal are considering a move for Fernandes.
It is understood the Gunners view the Portuguese midfielder as an ideal fit to strengthen their midfield options ahead of next season.

Mikel Arteta’s side will, however, face stiff competition for Fernandes this summer.
Manchester United and Manchester City are also closely monitoring his situation at West Ham. On several occasions this season, United scouts have been in attendance to watch the midfielder.
West Ham are aware of the growing interest in Fernandes and could be forced to sell him this summer — particularly if they are relegated to the Championship.

The Hammers could reportedly demand around £65m to sanction any sale.
There is also interest in Fernandes from abroad, with Atletico Madrid and AC Milan also weighing up potential summer moves.
Fernandes’ current West Ham contract runs until the summer of 2030.
