Warriors sign center Ömer Yurtseven to a 10-day contract:

Yurtseven last played in the NBA during the 2023-24 (with the Utah Jazz).

He had averages of 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 53.8% from the field in 48 games.

SNY’s Ian Begley wrote: “Big man Omer Yurtseven will be with the Warriors tonight against the Knicks, the first day of his 10-day deal with Golden State”

The Warriors are missing a lot of size right now, as they will be without players such as Draymond Green, Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford against New York.

At the bare minimum, Yurtseven provides reliable depth at the end of their bench.

Over three seasons (with the Heat and Jazz), he has career averages of 5.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 53.5% from the field in 113 games.

Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints wrote before Sunday’s game: “The Warriors will only have the following players available today vs. Knicks:

Brandin Podziemski Gary Payton II Gui Santos Will Richard Pat Spencer Omer Yurtseven LJ Cryer Malevy Leons Nate Williams

Quinten Post is questionable with a left ankle sprain.”

They have lost seven out of ten (and four in a row).

Following the Knicks, the Warriors will visit the Washington Wizards on Monday night.
